The Village

community Podcast and events

‘The Village’ Events and ‘Be the Change’ video series are two Sunshine Coast Community initiatives inspired to create community change at a grass roots level. Events are designed to meet the needs of community focusing on re-connection to self, land and each other while facilitating open conversation around grass roots issues and collaborative solutions. Be the change video series builds off that concept, exploring conversations, perspectives and ideas for a better community, having the hard conversations and bouncing ideas for community based the solutions. If the systems are broken we will create our own healthy community ecosystem.

Domestic violence, gender violence, sexual violence and lack of consent are an increasing concern in our community. These forms of violation do not discriminate, anyone and everyone can experience them and they are causing harm in our homes and community. Together we explore what is happening in our community, root causes and collaborative solutions.

“So refreshing and important to see men stepping up and advocating for a safer world for women. Thank you for this incredibly important work Nat 🖤🫶🏽✨“”
